Oh Kale! You keep appearing everywhere I look when it comes to diet and nutrition. You’re allegedly the “king” of healthy greens. I know I must include you in my diet plan, but to be honest you don’t taste that great. How do I hide you, but keep one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet involved in my weekly food plan? (All joking aside – Kale is LOADED with vitamins and minerals that are highly beneficial to your health so get it involved immediately).

The plan is to take the superfood, add a super supplement, then throw in some other ingredients for a little extra health boost and taste. 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 banana
½ cup of blueberries
2 cups of chopped kale
¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ginger

(add honey to sweeten if needed)
Directions: Add ingredients into a blender and mix. You can alter the amount of unsweetened almond milk to achieve the consistency you seek.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Collagen Kale Smoothie

1-2 cups of unsweetened chocolate almond milk
1 cup of chopped kale
1 banana
1 tablespoon of all-natural peanut butter or almond butter
2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 scoop of Zammex collagen
Directions: Add ingredients into a blender and mix. You can alter the amount of unsweetened almond milk to achieve the consistency you seek. You can also add some ice cubes as well. (We do a ton of Chocolate recipes so it’s only fair….)

The Vanilla-lovers Dream Collagen Kale Smoothie

¾ cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2-3 teaspoons of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of nut butter of choice (sometimes peanut butter can overpower the taste)
1 cup of chopped kale
1 banana
1 scoop of Zammex collagen
Directions: Add ingredients into a blender and mix. You can alter the amount of unsweetened almond milk to achieve the consistency you seek. You can add ice to this one as well.
 

The “Diet” Collagen Kale Smoothie

½ cup of water (I’d still go with the unsweetened vanilla almond milk – it’s only 30 calories a serving and it does add some nutrition)
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
2 cups of chopped kale
½ banana (freeze the other half for tomorrow but remember to peel first!)
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
½ cup of diced strawberries
1 cup of Zammex collagen
Directions: Add ingredients into a blender and mix. You can alter the amount of unsweetened almond milk to achieve the consistency you seek.
